Project Planning
It all starts with a discussion of your idea. We can get started with as little as a napkin sketch or as much as a detailed engineering drawing.
Your existing assets provide the perfect place to start.
We work with you to create an action plan with milestones to ensure your deadlines are met.
Design Process
We believe in open communication and iteration. Throughout your project, our designer will regularly exchange revisions via an interactive markup portal until you are fully satisfied.
Ready for Print
While working with us, you have the option to have the part printed on one of our platforms. We will provide guidance on best-practices for 3D printing success. After the modeling is complete, we can easily provide a quote for printing.
Design Capabilities
Let’s work together.
Parametric CAD Modeling
Parametric design involves building up a 3D geometry piece by piece.
2D-sketches are turned into 3D-features, with constraints and relations
applied to tune the model to exact dimensions.
Typically used to model mechanical parts and assemblies.
Design for Additive Manufacturing (DFAM)
Design for Additive Manufacturing is the practice of designing for AM manufacturability and part performance.
We leverage our experience with 3D printers and materials at the
design stage to make sure that your parts will print the best and
leverage the key strengths of AM.
This is particularly important when transitioning existing parts to
AM production.
Generative Design
Generative design provides an exploration process.
We input your goals, material, manufacturing method, and spatial
requirements into the generative software.
This software then explores all the possible permutations of a
solution, quickly generating many optimized design candidates.
The desired part is down-selected and can be further
modified or created as-is.
Reverse Engineering
We will recreate your existing parts using traditional
measurement techniques or from 2D drawings.
Mail us your part or drop it off, and we will digitally
reproduce the part accurately.
The result will be a 3D part file ready to go straight to
manufacturing, whether 3D printing or otherwise.
